And again, thou shalt take thy brother, Hiram Page, between him and thee alone, and tell him that those things which he hath written from that stone are not of me and that Satan deceiveth him (Doctrine and Covenants 28:11);

Wherefore, a commandment I give unto you, that you shall not purchase wine neither strong drinks of your enemies; Wherefore, you shall partake of none except it is made new among you; yea, in this my Father’s kingdom which shall be built up on the earth (Doctrine and Covenants 27:3-4).

And also with Joseph and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, your fathers, by whom the promises remain (Doctrine and Covenants 27:10);

And it shall be given thee, also, to make a selection of sacred hymns, as it shall be given thee, which is pleasing unto me, to be had in my church. For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads (Doctrine and Covenants 25:11-12).

And thou shalt take no purse nor scrip, neither staves, neither two coats, for the church shall give unto thee in the very hour what thou needest for food and for raiment, and for shoes and for money, and for scrip (Doctrine and Covenants 24:18).

Behold, thy sins are forgiven thee, and thou [Emma Smith] art an elect lady, whom I have called (Doctrine and Covenants 25:3).

Behold, there shall be a record kept among you; and in it thou shalt be called a seer, a translator, a prophet, an apostle of Jesus Christ, an elder of the church through the will of God the Father, and the grace of your Lord Jesus Christ (Doctrine and Covenants 21:1),

Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ, and bless them in his name (Doctrine and Covenants 20:70).

The duty of the members after they are received by baptism.–The elders or priests are to have a sufficient time to expound all things concerning the church of Christ to their understanding, previous to their partaking of the sacrament and being confirmed by the laying on of the hands of the elders, so that all things may be done in order (Doctrine and Covenants 20:68).

And again by the way of commandment to the church concerning the manner of baptism–All those who humble themselves before God, and desire to be baptized, and come forth with broken hearts and contrite spirits, and witness before the church that they have truly repented of all their sins, and are willing to take upon them the name of Jesus Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end, and truly manifest by their works that they have received of the Spirit of Christ unto the remission of their sins, shall be received by baptism into his church (Doctrine and Covenants 20:37).

The rise of the Church of Christ in these last days, being one thousand eight hundred and thirty years since the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the flesh, it being regularly organized and established agreeable to the laws of our country, by the will and commandments of God, in the fourth month, and on the sixth day of the month which is called April (Doctrine and Covenants 20:1)–

It is expedient that the church meet together often to partake of bread and wine in the remembrance of the Lord Jesus; And the elder or priest shall administer it; and after this manner shall he administer it–he shall kneel with the church and call upon the Father in solemn prayer, saying: …The manner of administering the wine–he shall take the cup also, and say: (Doctrine and Covenants 20:76-76, 28)…

Pray always, and I will pour out my Spirit upon you, and great shall be your blessing–yea, even more great than if you should obtain treasures of earth and corruptibleness to the extent thereof (Doctrine and Covenants 19:38).

Yea, even twelve; and the Twelve shall be my disciples, and they shall take upon them my name; and the Twelve are they who shall desire to take upon them my name with full purpose of heart (Doctrine and Covenants 18:27).

And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my father (Doctrine and Covenants 18:15)!

And behold, I say unto you, that because they have altered the words, they read contrary from that which you translated and caused to be written (Doctrine and Covenants 10:11);

And the Lord said unto me: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, because thou desirest this thou shalt tarry until I come in my glory, and shalt prophesy before nations, kindreds, tongues and people (Doctrine and Covenants 7:3).

But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right. But if it is not right you shall have no such feelings, but you shall have a stupor of thought that shall cause you to forget the thing which is wrong; therefore, you cannot write that which is sacred save it be given you from me (Doctrine and Covenants 9:8-9).

And in addition to your testimony, the testimony of three of my servants, whom I shall call and ordain, unto whom I will show these things, and they shall go forth with my words that are given through you (Doctrine and Covenants 5:11).

For the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul (Doctrine and Covenants 4:4);

And when thou hast deliveredst up that which God had given thee sight and power to translate, thou deliveredst up that which was sacred into the hands of a wicked man (Doctrine and Covenants 3:12),
